Manhattan

1 measure sweet vermouth
3 measures rye or bourbon whiskey (I prefer to use Jack Daniels)
maraschino cherry (garnish)

Put the ice cubes into a mixing glass. Pour the vermouth and whiskey over the ice. Stir vigorously, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Drop in a cherry, if you like. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Martini

3 mearuse of Gin
1 measure of Dry Vermouth
olive (garnish)

Pour the gin and vermouth into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir don't shake, like James Bond. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with an olive stuffed with pimento.

Cosmopolitan

1.5 measures of citron vodka
1 measure of Cointreau
1.5 measure of cranberry juice
.25 measure fresh lime juice
orange zest twist, flamed* (garnish)

Put the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lim juice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add a flamed* orange zest twist

*to flame a citrus twist, hold a piece of zest with no pith attached skin-side down about 4 inches above the drink in one hand with a long lighted match in the other. Pinch the zest firmly so that the oils spray into the flame and ignite into the drink. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Singapore Sling

1 measure of Gin
.5 measure of cherry brandy
.25 measure of Cointreau
.25 measure of Benedictine
.5 measure of grenadine
.5 measure of lime juice
5 measures of pineapple juice
1 dash Angostura bitters
pineapple slice (garnish)
maraschino cherry (garnish)

Put some ice cubes into a cocktail shaker with all the other ingredients and shake well. Strain over more ice cubes in a sling glass. Decorate with a pineapple slice and a cherry impaled on a toothpick. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Sapphire Martini

2 measures of Gin (Bombay Sapphire works well for this)
.5 measure of blue Curacao
red or blue maraschino cherry (garnish)

Put the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour in the gin and blue Curacao. Shake well to mix. Strain into a cocktail glass and carefully drop in a blue or red maraschino cherry. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Mojito

8 mint leaves
.5 lime, cunt into wedges
2 teaspoons cane sugar
crushed ice
2.5 measures of white rum
soda water, to top up
mint sprigs (garnish)

Muddle* the mint leaves, lime wedges, and sugar in a highball glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice and add the rum. Stir and top up with soda water. Decorate with mint sprigs. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

A Kiwi In Tennesse

.5 kiwifruit, peeled
2 measures of Jack Daniel's
1 measure of kiwifruit schnapps
1 measure of fresh lemon juice
lemonade, to top up
kiwifruit slices (garnish)

Muddle the kiwifruit in a cocktail shaker, then add the Jack Daniel's, schnapps, and lemon jucie. Add some ice cubes and shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Stir and top up with lemonade. Decorate with kiwifruit slices (Source: Must Taste Cocktails)

Sea Breeze

2 measures of vodka
4 measures of cranberry juice
2 measures of grapefruit juice
2 lime wedges

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour the vodka and fruit juices over the ice. Squeeze the lime wedges over the drink and stir lightly. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Watermelon Martini

1 lime wedge
4 watermelon chunks
1.5 measures of vodka
.5 measure of passion fruit liqueur
1 dash cranberry juice
watermelon wedge (garnish)

Squeeze the lime wedge into a cocktail shaker, add some ice cubes, the watermelon chunks, vodka, passion fruit liqueur, and cranberry juice, and shake well. Double strain into a chilled Martini glass and decorate with a watermelon wedge impaled on a toothpick. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Benedict

1 measure of Benedictine
3 measures of whiskey
dry ginger ale, to top up

Black Russian

2 measures of vodka
1 measure of Kahlua
chocalate stick (decoration)

Negroni

1 measure of Plymouth gin
1 measure of Campari
1 measure of red vermouth
soda water (optional) orange slices (garnish)

Juliana Blue

1 measure of gin
.5 measaure of Cointreau
.5 measure of blue Curacao
2 measures of pineapple juice
.5 measure of fresh lime juice
1 measure of coconut cream
pineapple wedge (garnish)
maraschino cherries (garnish)

Put some crushed ice into a food processor or blender and pour in the gin, Cointreau, blue Curacao, fruit juices, and coconut cream. Blend at high speed for several seconds until the mixture has the consistency of soft snow. Strain over ice cubes in a cocktail glass. 2 measures of vodka
4 measaures of cranberry juice
6 lime wedges

White Russian

6 ice cubes, cracked
1 measure of vodka
1 measure of Tia Maria
1 measure of milk or heavy cream

Put half of the ice into a cocktail shaker and add the vodka., Tia Maria, and milk or cream. Shake until a frost forms. Put the remaining ice in a tall, narrow glass and strain the cocktail over it. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Agave Julep

8 torn mint leaves
1 tablespoon sugar syrup
1.25 measures of gold tequila
1.24 measures of fresh lime juice

mint sprig (garnish

Muddle the mint leaves with the sugar syrup in a highball glass. Add the tequila and lime juice, fill the glass with crushed ice, and stir vigorously to mix. Decorate with a lime wedge and a mint sprig. (Source: 501 Must Taste Cocktails)

Screwdriver

1.5 measures of vodka
freshly squeezed orange juice, to top up

Oyster Shot

1 small plump oyster
.75 measure of chill pepper vodka
.75 measure of chilled tomato juice
3 drops of Tabasco sauce
dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 lime wedge, squeezed
pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
pinch of celery salt

1 measure of chilled Stolichnaya Razberi vodka
orange wedge dusted with sugar (garnish)
